You can almost hear Phog Fieldhouse chanting now: K-U! K-U! Rock Chalk Jay Hawk! With Xavier Henry committing to play for Bill Self, the Jayhawks have become a front-runner for National Championship chatter. Xavier, pronounced ZA-VE-YAY, is considered one of the top three recruits in the 2009 class. He is a left-handed, 6-6 wing player, considered to be a lottery pick in the NBA draft after a year of college. He had been signed to play for Memphis but was allowed to re-think his options once Coach John Calipari left for Kentucky. With a nucleus including center Cole Aldrich, point guard Sherron Collins, and the pre-Henry 22nd-ranked recruiting class according to ESPN, Kansas has the makings of a championship caliber team.
Here’s a highlight video of Henry at his high school in Oklahoma City.
Henry is wearing jersey #1

That is a sweet bit of information to learn. I have been a KU fan for my whole life any thing to make them better makes me a happy fan. Thanks for the update. Check out http://robbs2894.wordpress.com/
